Welcome to Bija Yoga Berlin

Bija Yoga is a cozy, welcoming, multilingual space for yoga, bodywork, meditation and creativity in Berlin’s beautiful Graefekiez in Kreuzberg, seconds from parks, cafes, transit connections and the famous swans of the Landwehrkanal.

What is Bija? Bija means ‘seed’ in Sanskrit – the essence or heart of a thing. With its safe and inspiring atmosphere, Bija encourages growth, trust, exploration and play.

  • View our current classes and teachers, with info to sign up for class, here.
  • Bija is available to rent for your classes, private sessions or bodywork, events or other creative pursuits. Read more about our unique space here.
  • Bija is also the current home of ISHTA Yogiraj Julie Blumenthal‘s classes, workshops and the Berlin ISHTA Yoga Teacher Trainings.

At Bija we believe in honoring the needs of the individual yogi; providing a comforting and safe class environment that is supportive and evolutionary for all levels of mind, body and spirit; offering a home for a friendly community of practitioners; and ensuring a trusting and dedicated relationship between teacher and student. Our small and cozy studio (maximum 12-15 students) ensures a positive and personalized atmosphere for all.

Where is Bija? We’re located in the beautiful Graefekiez ‘yoga row’, between the U8 (Schönleinstr.) and the U7 (Südstern). You may also take the M41 to Körtestrasse. See ‘Finding Us’ for maps and more details.
